“… he (Dennis) hires people who will listen and pay attention to detail…. If he is not happy with the drywall, he will address it. He holds the bar high and he expects his trades to do the same…”

-Trent & Louise, Homeowner

Dennis Saccomani has built HBT on quality.  As a small business owner, Dennis understands that quality combines many interrelated elements in a home-construction project such as effective project management, attention to detail, efficiency, and organization. It also means adhering to design plans and building code requirements while implementing leading construction best practices.

Dennis limits the number of new projects that HBT takes on at one time to ensure your project is successfully managed every step of the way. This ensures all of the critical aspects of a quality build are followed. You benefit from the personal and direct oversight of a business owner and general contractor committed to offering an excellent result.

Dennis believes that following best practice is more than just implementing minimum national and provincial building codes, it is also about knowing how to build more energy efficient homes; how to make a building accessible to persons with various types of disabilities or to accommodate aging in place and knowing about new materials and construction techniques that can save on either building costs or long-term maintenance expenses.

What does the quality of the HBT team mean for you?

  • Adherence to national and provincial building codes
  • Application of best industry practices
  • Use of new materials, techniques, and technologies in the industry
  • Attention to detail
  • On-going communication
  • Value for price
  • A satisfying experience

“We are proud of not only the homes, but also the relationships we have built over decades of being in the industry.”

-Dennis, Owner of HBT

“We have hired Homes by Tricolor on multiple occasions over the last 10 years…. Dennis treats your home like it’s his- he is professional, trustworthy and one of the most genuine people you will ever meet...”

-Klara and Lawrence, Homeowners

Dennis Saccomani built HBT on trust. This has been essential in HBT’s delivery of so many successful projects. You get a reputation of being a trustworthy general contractor and custom-home builder after many years of hard work and projects.

Why is trust so important to Dennis? Well, it begins by looking at his upbringing and childhood experiences with his father.

Dennis grew up in Lethbridge, Alberta in a large Italian immigrant family. His father left Italy after WWII to come to Canada with the hope of providing greater opportunities for his family.

His father never took these opportunities for granted. He worked countless hours in demanding jobs to buy and manage rental properties. Integrity, hard work, and perseverance were the traits he passed along to his five children.

As the only son growing up, Dennis helped his father with the rental properties. He observed his father’s interactions and noticed how he always treated his tenants with respect, fairness and honesty. Today, Dennis ensures that his own company is driven by these same three values to build a strong rapport and trusting relationships with his clients.

To show that Dennis holds the company’s reputation to the highest standard, HBT is not only fully licensed and insured but also bonded and a member of Progressive Home Warranty (PHW), the Canadian Home Builders’ Association, and the Renomark Program.
