Bonnie Doon – “Skinny Home” 1
This project is an example of the popular trend that has moved through the mature neighbourhoods in Edmonton over the past several years. With the skinny home movement, large lots, in desirable neighbourhoods, are subdivided to hold two narrow homes. These types of projects are beneficial to both buyers and sellers as owning your own home becomes more affordable and owning a large lot becomes more profitable.
These skinny homes, located in the Bonnie Doon area, boast simple modern designs with tall ceilings to provide that spacious feel. Both units have been built with code compliant secondary suits in the basement to further the Return on Investment for both the buyer and seller.
